Kids are bored this summer! It's scorching outside, and they have nothing to do. But there is a way that you can help them get through the heat waves with these fun and silly reading glasses. Printable Reading Glasses make reading more enjoyable for kids by making it seem like a game or a challenge. The best part is that kids WANT to read because of how much fun they're having!
With this printable, your children will be able to create their own glasses they can wear while reading silly stories from the library or at home.
My daughter LOVES thesm, she says they make reading easier and more fun. Which is hilarious, because they're just paper. But without them, they “can't see” the words on the page because of their “big squinting eyes.”
I love the silly excuses that come out of my kid's mouths, they're always so silly.

Benefits of Using Summer Printable Reading Glasses
If you are looking for a way to keep your child entertained and interested in curling up with literature all summer long, printable reading glasses are the perfect project! Kids will absolutely love making their own glasses with these printable templates.
The printables I am giving you will help get those juices flowing, you can absolutely have your child make their own based on the printable. My son loves to draw his own, and then I let him cut them out so he has a completely unique pair.
What you'll need to get started on your summer reading glasses printable:
-The free printables (OF COURSE!)
–A laminator– You want to keep these printables around as long as you can, so I recommend laminating the pages so you can get the most use out of these printables. I love that we can write all over them and then just erase them after and use them again tomorrow– Or with the next kid!
–Cardstock– Even with laminating, you'll get the best results printing on cardstock or thicker paper.
–Scissors– You'll need to cut out these glasses!

Normally I would talk about all of the benefits and ways to use these with other and younger kids, but these printables speak for themselves. You can adapt them to older or younger children just by the way you talk to them about it.
You can use these as templates, and have your children create their own reading glasses, then cut them out and use those instead of the ones I provided.
