Here are some benefits of using these worksheets with your child this summer:

Benefits of Using Summer Printable Activities Worksheets

Last year was rough. Do you remember that? Trying to figure out how to be home 24/7 AND educate your kids AND occupy them so they weren't bored? When yuo think about it, it was pretty good training for summer.

Since my kids started going to school, I would DREAD when they would come home. I'd get overwhelmed at all the options of what we could do each day. I wanted them to have fun, I wanted them to be learning (not just melting their brains watching Pokemon) and I wanted to be able to do things myself also.

This is when I realized if I created a printable for them and laminated it, they could have something to work on and work with over and over.

Can't wait? Grab my summer learning slump preschool busy book from the store here!

Printables free up time for you.

So anyway, let's get to the benefits.

Worksheets are a fun way for preschoolers to be creating AND keep learning this summer
Work on those fine motor skills by using markers, crayons, and even scissors. My son is left handed, so I find it super important that we get to work on correct form often.
Exploring curiosity. It's just fun to learn about new shapes, and then continue to see them in your every day life moving forward. I'll never forget the first time my son talked about rectangles in the window. That validation, “I'm not failing”, was exactly what my heart needed that week.
Preparing for kindergarten can be fun and colorful!
A great alternative to daycare this summer
If you're like me, and often can't decide what to do, these worksheets are great, and take the guess work out.
Quality time together. If you're using these together, it's a great wa to spend more quality time. My son loves showing me the cute art and redrawing them later.

You'll find shapes practice, tracing, lacing, alphabet matching, number recognition, and so much more. Even coloring pages! I am so happy with this collection, I can't wait to get it to you.

Tips for a Successful Summer before Kindergarten

My high school math teacher friend told me once the best indicator for success in her classroom has been parents who care about their child's success.

You are here, right now. If you're worried about doing the best for your child, you probably already are doing it.

-The key to success is consistency. With these free printables you'll be able to achieve that consistency because every day your preschooler will ask to play with these fun manipulatives again.

-You can expect them to start kindergarten with a solid foundation in their basic skills if you work with them when you can, and when you can't, you are giving them fun and engaging printables they are excited to use.

-Give yourself grace. It's SUMMERTIME. Don't fret if you fall off the wagon a few times, or forget to do printables together. Yes, I did just say you should be consistent AND give yourself grace. Consistently show up for your kid. Even if it's sitting down and reading a book together before bed.

Have fun. Even if you don't get around to teaching them every single thing you think they need to learn before kindergarten, they're still going to be having a great summer with you, and growing leaps and bounds.

This is not going to be the dull curriculums of our childhood, where you would sit your child down and have them write lines for hours on end to get them ready for kindergarten.

No preschooler wants that, and we don't want to force THAT on any preschooler either. What a boring summer that would make.

These printables are bright and colorful, with silly details (have you ever seen a triangle crab before?!) that will help solidify those concepts.

Summer Preschool Worksheets

Here they are, the thing you've been waiting for! Dive in, and let me know what you think!

Summer Shapes for Preschool Printables– I love these adorable little crab shapes in this printable. This printable is perfect for helping preschoolers learn the shapes they'll need to know for kindergarten.

Mermaid Themed Alphabet Coloring Pages– These cool pages have an alphabet letter on each page, with a fin! Underneath, there is also room for writing the letter you're practicing. If your kids love sharks they look like sharks, if they love mermaids, let's pretend they're mermaids.

Beach Ball Alphabet Matching– Each letter is a beach ball, and you can cut them in half to have a beach ball matching game. There is also a printable sheet for placing the letters together nicely.

Ocean Activity Cards – When you need to get your wiggles out, you'll love these fun movement cards with an ocean and beach theme.

Summer Reading Glasses– My kids love wearing silly glasses to read their books with, so I made some for the summer with different fruits, like avocadoes, and watermelons. Don't tell anyone, but I added a few ocean animals to these.

Summer Counting Mats for Toddlers– This cute set of printables is the perfect way to keep numbers and math in your summer learning. So grab your play dough and get to counting!

Beach Printable Memory Match Game – I love a good memory game! This printable has lots of adorable beachy art to make you feel like you're at the beach, even if it's raining outside.

Beach Themed Tracing Lines Worksheets – These line tracing sheets are perfect for pre writing skills and you can even use them for scissor skills too!

Beach Lacing Cards– I am a huge fan of lacing cards, these are beach and ocean inspired, you'll love them, and more importantly so will your little!

Ocean Count and Clip Cards– Who doesn't love a good set of clip cards? These go from 1-10, and the art brings a smile to my face every time I see it.
